The Hidden Healing Fund
supports culturally-led mental health resources for young people powered by the collective contributions of corporate partners.
Why the Hidden Healing Fund?
Many young people, particularly in historically marginalized communities, face challenges in accessing conventional mental health services. From long wait times to financial barriers, it is difficult for many to receive the help they need.
The AAKOMA Project's 2022 State of Mental Health for Youth of Color Report found that while over half of youth and young adults reported experiencing moderate to severe depression and/or anxiety, 30% who reported needing treatment did not receive it.
We believe the most powerful change starts from within, and that those most familiar with community needs are best equipped to address them. The Hidden Healing Fund aims to uplift culturally-led mental health resources that support young people by honoring their unique identities and communities.
What does Hidden Healing look like?
Hidden Healing recognizes that healing can come from many unexpected places, including practices outside of conventional mental health frameworks. Hidden Healing embraces community, culture, and connection as foundational components in supporting the mental health of young people.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you are interested in supporting the fund, please fill out our contact form to receive more information on how we can collaborate to improve young people’s mental health.
We aim to work with a wide range of cross-industry partners who want to champion innovative, culture-first approaches to addressing mental health challenges for young people.
Grantees will be selected by an Advisory Committee made up of community leaders, field experts, donors, and other key stakeholders, using a collaborative decision-making process. The Committee will consider organizations using culturally-led approaches to support young people aged 25 and under prioritizing emerging-stage, community-based nonprofits serving communities with the lowest mental health outcomes. Throughout the selection process, we are committed to transparency, equity, and a community-centered approach to grantmaking.
The fund will provide high-impact catalyst grants to community organizations employing culturally-led approaches to address mental health challenges for young people, particularly in historically marginalized communities.
We are open to nominations of organizations who are championing innovative "hidden healing" approaches. If you have an organization to recommend, email info@hiddenhealingfund.org.
